Fearless fitness is about empowerment. Through a combination of krav maga self defence and fitness training I help women to become their fearless authentic selves!
Sadly we live in a world where too many people are scared to stand up for themselves, lacking in both self confidence and body confidence and are fearful of rejection and being judged. Where bullying is happening from school through to adulthood. Where boundaries are being crossed and people don’t have the skills employ healthy boundaries. Where mental health is still not addressed as it should be.
Some sobering facts from NZ Police:
New Zealand has the highest rate of reported violence towards women in the developed world.
1 in 3 women will experience partner violence at some point in their lives.
Approximately 3,500 convictions are recorded against men each year for assaults on women.
On average, 14 women a year are killed by their partners or ex-partners.
Between 2009 and 2015, there were 92 IPV (Intimate partner Violence) deaths. In 98% of death events where there was a recorded history of abuse, women were the primary victim, abused by their male partner
Family violence accounts for half of all reported serious crime.
